The American Genocide for Convenience

Since Roe v. Wade in 1973, abortions have taken the life of more than 53 million babies.  Every single day 3,425 babies are killed via abortion.  The rights they possessed as the living were lost in 1973 and since then there has been a lack of legislative support (largely by Democrats) to void this “right to kill.”

Every year more babies are murdered than Americans killed in all wars in U.S. history combined.  Some suggest that abortion is simply a front for population control, a philosophy that the U.S. and U.N. are endorsing across the globe.   Our tax dollars are going towards the establishment of “family planning services” for women in poor countries.  All this is an effort to reduce the number of poor people being born.

There are more than 1.2 million abortions (including those by drug RU 486) every year.  One study found that 86% of all abortions are for the sake of convenience.  Murder for the sake of convenience is the most calloused, unfeeling, and selfish motive.  Americans might see it differently if the government decided to kill many of us for the sake of convenience.  If you think that is far fetched, just look at Carthage in 300 BC.  They not only burned thousands of children as sacrifices, they also killed unwanted orphans and widows to reduce the amount of poverty and suffering in the city.   In the 1930s, Nazi Germany passed laws making it legal to kill the old and infirm, later extending it to allow the murder of Jews, gypsies and other unwanted members of society.

The current trial of Philadelphia abortionist Gosnell is showing the cruelty used to kill babies that were born alive.  Witnesses claim that Gosnell slaughtered hundreds “of living, breathing newborn children by severing their spinal cords or slitting their necks.”

From its radical foundation, Planned Parenthood has financially prospered through its proud genocide of abortions every year.  A shocking 72% of Planned Parenthood’s “customers” have incomes that are either equal to or beneath 150% of the federal poverty level.  Planned Parenthood receives hundreds of millions of tax dollars each year in funding for its legalized murder.

During the course of a partial birth abortion, scissors are jammed into the baby’s skull and opened to enlarge the skull. At this point, they remove the scissors and use a suction catheter to suck out the child’s brains, causing the skull to collapse -- then they remove the dead baby.

After the Sandyhook Elementary tragedy, there was an outpouring of initial support for gun control.  It was all under the guise of controlling such massacres from occurring again.  Amazingly this single incident, as bad as it was, pales in comparison to the larger ongoing massacre of millions of babies each year.  The only difference between the two is that one child is living inside the womb while one is living outside.

For all the misinformation about gun murders, handguns kill 28 every day while abortions kill 3,425.  The ratio of murders by abortion to those killed by handguns is 122.3 to 1.  Moreover, gun control leads to more deaths, whereas abolishing abortion would save tens of millions.

Ironically, the world is shocked when a living child is murdered, instantly asking for the maximum sentence possible for the offender, but when a woman wants to murder her unborn, living baby, nothing.

A survey by Family Planning Perspectives shows that most decisions for an abortion were of convenience.  These include:  a baby will change my life (76%); cannot afford a baby now (68%); want to avoid single parenthood (51%); unready for responsibility (31%); don’t want others to know of pregnancy (31%); not mature enough (30%); fetus has a health problem (7%); and woman was a victim or rape or incest (1%).

If you want “convenience” don’t get pregnant!

Mother Teresa likened abortion to "a war against the child, a direct killing of the innocent child, murder by the mother herself. And if we accept that a mother can kill even her own child, how can we tell other people not to kill one another?  …Any country that accepts abortion is not teaching its people to love, but to use any violence to get what they want. This is why the greatest destroyer of peace and love is abortion"

The total number of abortions since Roe v. Wade by year-end (54.2 million) will be roughly equal to the killing of all persons in the 26 least populated states and the District of Columbia by census counts in 2010.  This 54.2 million is equivalent to 70.1% of all children aged 0-17 living in 2012.

Abortion is immoral, uncivilized, and a legalization of murder for selfish convenience.  Americans fail to understand the realities of this ongoing atrocity that seems to get little press anymore.  Is there so little regard for human life that we see the unborn as disposable and inhuman?
